I, disciple of Srila Bhakti Kebal Oudolomi Maharaj and son of Sri Jati Sekhar Das, late Editor of the monthly magazine “ THE PARAMARTHI” had the fortunate opportunity to record some parts of discussions, which my father had with disciples close to him. His book “ THE ATIMARTYA LILA” has helped me to put a few lines before you. It was a hobby on my part to keep recording my father’s talks, but I had the heartiest inclination to spread the teachings of Sri Anant Basudev. Incidentally some disciples of “THE ISKCON” had been in regular touch with me, but none of them ever uttered about spreading the teachings of Sri Anant Basudev or I had never forced them to do so . Suddenly, I had the opportunity of meeting Sri Saunak Das Prabhu of California, U.S.A. On bringing him to my residence, he saw the cassettes and took interest to hear some of the audios. Luckily, the cassette which he heard, had my father’s discussion on Sri Anant Basudev about Bhagabat Parampara. On hearing the wording that to be a “ Sikshya Guru” and “ Dikshya Guru”, the order of the Guru is a must and how Sri Anant Basudev became the Spiritual head and about his preachings, his question to me was why Sri Anant Basudev’s teachings are not being spread by coming to know about my helplessness, his request to me was, that I should write and he will do the needful for spreading the teachings. Suddenly, I thought that this man, Sri Saunak Das Prabhu has some blessings of Srila Prabhupad (Sri Srila Saraswati Goswami). I regard Bharati Maharaj, disciple of Oudulomi Maharaj as my “ Sikhya Guru” according the advice of my father. few days ago Bharati Maharaj ordered me to do something for spreading the teachings of Srila Anant Basudev which happened automatically. So, the order of the Guru is what without experiencing one cannot know.

If the above writing hurts anybody’s sentiments, I may please be excused as this is purely unintentional.


Chapter –I

Brief Life History of Sri Srila Bhakti Prasad Puri Goswami Thakur Paramahansa Sri Srila Bhakti Prasad Puri Goswami was born as the youngest son Anant to Sri Rajanikanta Basu and Srimati Bidhukhi Devi in East Bengal (presently known as Bangladsh) in the district of Nayakhalli, village Sandip Hotia on 25th of August, 1895 at noon.

Sri Jogendra, the eldest son of the couple accepted Dikshya from Srila Bhakti Binod Thakur and later on took to Sanyas from Sri Bhakti Sidhanta Saraswti Thakur and was popularly known as Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami.

Sri Anant, while in college met Bhakti Binod Thakur and Sri Bhakti Sidhanta Saraswati Thakur on 30th December, 1911 and 20th March, 1912. He was attracted and highly influenced by the lectures and thoughts of Sri Saraswati Thakur. After completing his Graduation in 1915, ha was mentally preparing himself to accept Dikshya from Sri Saraswati Thakur, whom he wanted to be his Guru.

On 29th March, 1918(i.e. Day after Dola or Holy Purnima) Sri Anant accepted Hari Naam and Pancha Ratrik Dikshya at Mayapur, Nawadip. From that day, he stopped going home and stationed himself in the Matha. The name given to his Dikshya is known as Anant Basudev Brahmachari.

In the year 1918, sri Anant Basudev came to Remuna and Mayurbhanj with Sri srila Prabhupad and visited the temple of Sri Khira Chora Gopinath. Again on 17thJune, 1918. He visited the temple of Sri Laxmikant Misra at Balasore with Prabhupad and stayed over there. Here every one was pleased by the Kritan recited by Srila Anant Basudev. From Balasore, both he and his Guru visited and stayed at Cuttack. From Cuttack, they proceeded to Purushottam Dham (Better knoen as Puri or Jagannath Dham).

Thereafter he visited to Ulttadanga of Calcutta to attain the function which was celebrated on the occasion of Birth aniversery of Bisnupriya Devi on 5th February, 1919 of Bhakhti Binod Thakur’s Assan.

After this, the function was presided by Sri Anant Basudev henceforth. From 1920 to 1935, he travelled and visited various places with Srila Prabhupad and preached his teachings. On 25th of December, 1930, he visited Sri BarahajewTemple at Jaipur in Orissa and took part in the opening ceremony of Sri Chaitanya’s Pada Pitha. From thereon he went off to Madras (presently known as Chennai) to preach the teachings of his Guru. He also went to Mysore and Dacca in the year 1932 to preach the teachings of his Gurudev. He went to meet his Gurudev at Darjiling in the year 1935. From here, he was ordered by his Gurudev and mentor to execute all the discussions and preach his teachings. In 1935, he took to writing the book known as “ Shree Saraswati Jayshree”. He and his Gurudev visited Prayag and Dacca University for Sankirtan in 1936. In this year, at Purushottam Math, he organized a function known as “ Annakat Mahotsav” and became closer to his Gurudev, Srila Prabhupad.

Before Aprakat on 31st December, 1936, srila Prabhupad had called Sri Anant Basudev and had ordered him to carry out the preachings of Sri Rupa-Raghunath ( Reference – Goudiya Math’er Vartaman Abastha’r Itihas).

During the “ Byasa Puja” of Srila Praphupad on 2nd March, 1937 at Dacca, Sri Basudev was requested by Sri Narayan Das (Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu) to overtake the charge as “ Goudia Acharya”( Spiritual Head). He was sworn in as Spiritual Head ( Goudia Acharya) on 27th March,1937. The news of his being sworn in as Spiritual Head ( Goudia Acharya) was published in a press note in “ The Anand Bazar Patrika” and “ The Basumati on 27th March,1937 publication. He was accepted anonymously in the Welcome Ceremony held by Srila Bhaktikebala Odulomi Maharaj of Calcuttaon 16th June, 1937. This news was then published in all the leading news papers of those days.

From 1938, he toured and visited the various religious places of Nawadip extensively. He established “ The Brahmadev Goudia Sraban Sadan” at Rasulkunda in Bhanjanagar. Sri Anant Basudev Brahmachari took to Sanyas at Gaya in the year 1939. After taking to Sanyas, he was known as “ Sri Bhakti Prasad Puri Goswami” . The “ Goudia Mission” was registered in record in the year, 1941. After establishing “ Sri Madhabendra Goudia Matha” at Remuna, Balasore, he preached the teachings at Braja Mandal in 1944. He wrote a letter to Sri Sundaranananda Bidyabinoda on 3rd October,1946 describing “ Searoopa Laxan” and “ Uatastha Laxan” of the Goudia Mision. He made a come back to family life ( Gruhasthalila) in the year 1948 and consequently re-edited “ The Goswami Granthchoy”.

In the presence of some of his disciples on 8th March,1985, he told to spread the message” Sri Nitai Gour Sitanath” and “ Sri Krishna Chaitanya Sachisuta Gourguna Dham”. This message should be in the form of Kritan, which should come out from the inner core of the heart. At the age of 62 years and seven months he left the world. This Samadhi is found near Sri Brundaban Radhakund.

 

Chapter –II


WHY IS SRI BHAKTI PRASAD PURI GOSWAMI UNFORGETTABLE?
Srila Prabhupad out of love and affection used to say about Sri Bhakti Prasad Puri Goswami that, he is his Ganesh (i.e. Se To Aamar Ganesh) i.e. Ganesh= Gana+ Isha, where Gna means “ among all my people” and Isha means “ the best”. Srila Prabhupad even said that, Sri Anant Basudev’s feeling of heart to heart and his understanding capacity to his lectures and teachings were much better than others. He declared Sri Anant Basudev as the next Spiritual Head of the “ Baishnobs” to preach his teachings by writing the following words “ Basudevanta Dassey Thakia To Sada Laha Naam”. N.B.: Means in English; complete submission to Srila Basudev while praying.

It has been told several times by Srila Prabhupad that there is no better “ Pandit” of The Bhagawat than Sri Acharya Dev.

In spite of his strict disciplinary talks and behavior, the people used to surround him with eager ears to listen to his lectures. After Srila Prabhupad’s “Golak” Dham venture he anonymously became the “ Spiritual Head” ( Swata Sidha Acharya). This period of Acharyaship was highly charismatic, uncomparable, unimaginable and heart-touching.

His contribution to the Human Society is unforgettable, unthinkable and unattainable. Sri Anant Basudev’s contributions were:

(i) He has taken pain and vowed the get the society to “ Gour Sunder” and “ Shyam Sunder” in one birth.
(ii) His teachings have flooded happiness of Golak to the hearts of pure disciples. (Sudha Bhaktas) by describing “ Bhakti Sandarbha”.
(iii) The third contribution to society is that he distributed the “ Goswami Granth” freely out of love and affection, even after spending lakhs of rupees for printing and publishing.

“ The Goudia” (Weekly Magazine) was supervised by him for a span of nearly nine years and in world history, it is seen that such important “Bhagawat Bani” (teachings of Bhagabat) was never written again. Sri Anant Basudev retired from the “ Goudia Mission” and shifted to Brundaban.
Anaya+ Radhita+ Iti= Radha is the woman, who possesses the highest power for permanent divine pleasure and Anaya+ Mriyate+Iti= Maya is the woman, who possesses the highest power for temporary pleasure. These preachings was always taught by Srila Prabhupad to his disciples, Sri Anant Basudev was the only disciple, who solely understood the teaching. These two words can be expressed and understood by literary thoughts, but to know which activity of yours can dissuade you from Maya and which activity can lead you towards Maya cannot be known by guidance of literature only. So by reading all religious books one can become “ Gyani” (knowled), but not “ Tatwa Gyani”. This is a special judgement power. This can be explained in a better manner by the following example:-

A patient cannot cure himself by just reading the literature of medicines, because all patients having fever cannot consume the same medicines. For this, it is highly important to know the root of the disease. This can be only detected by a Physiologist ( Sarir Tatwa Gyani) i.e. Doctor.
As written earlier that, Sri Acharya Dev is a Tawat Gyani has already been proved by Srila Prabhupad in his “ Goura Ashirwad Patradm”( Sarba Sastra Tatwagnya Drusta Drusta Pariskhakam) which was distributed to some disciples during “Gour Jayanti”. But he used these words only for Anant Basudev.

Now I am describing with proof the happenings after Sri Puri Goswami became the Spiritual Head (Acharya) of “ The Goudia Mission”. According to “ The Goudia” 16th year, 32nd Edition, Sri Srila Bhakti Sambal Bhagwat Maharaj met with Sri Srila Prabhupad. This is explained by Sri Puri Goswami himself.

“ As known by everybody that, Sri Prabhupad had given me ( Sri Puri Goswami) the following as his last order. i.e., To preach the Bani of Rupa-Raghunath. By preaching sri Rupa- Raghunath, I saw that the Mission was in a state of disintegration. So, now you all explain me, what to do to carry out the last orders of my Gurudev I saw that, in the name of Sri Prabhupad anti-Bhakti activities is being carried in the Mission. As I did not allow these things, I became the talk of those disciples. They were executing their independent rights. So, do you think that by disobeying my Gurudev, I will teach them to go wayward for saving the Mission?”

By studying the following paragraph you all can know, how far Srila Prabhupad had reliance and trust on Sri Acharya Dev’s purity in decisive power.

According to “The Goudia” Chapter named “ Sebar Khatian” in the 13th year, 26th edition some points were written against Srijukta Nemi and Sri Kunja Babu. When this was brought to the notice of Srila Prebhupad by them he replied, “ If Basudev has told Sundarananda to write against you both, he is definitely right even if he wrote the truth against me, I cannot be dissatisfied on him. If Sri Kunja Babu and you commit faults in future will anyone leave you?” when Kunja Babu was performing the funeral rites of his mother (which is an anti-bhakti activity), he was tried to be saved by Sri Prabhupad, who informed Sri Kunja Babu through Sri Acharya Dev and Sri Bhakti Sarang Prabhu, but Kunja Babu defied the orders of Sri Prabhupad.
Now, you can understand that, if a person, without rectifying his faults and continues with it, how this can lead to a greater trouble in future. Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu was one of the persons, who was very closely acquainted with Sri Acharya Dev and I am going to explain to you some important characteristics of Sri Bhakti Sudhukar Prabhu. As described by Srila Prabhupad about Sri Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu is that he was real “Tridandy”.

So, Sri Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu was a total surrendering soul (Samapita Atma)
(Ref: The goudia-11th year, 22nd Edition. Srila Prabhupad had blessed Sri Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu by saying “ I am indebted to Professor Babu”.

(Ref: The Goudia, 18th year, 32nd Edition. “ During last stage (Aparakat Kale) Sri Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu was found saying ‘ Sri Prabhupad is coming’. By saying this, he used to swerve is hand and said” Oh! So beautiful so beautiful; when saying these lines,he was totally senseless.”)

Before (Aparakat), Sri Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu had made a forecast which ultimately turned into facts after 10 years. One day, while in a meeting in the year 1939, Sri Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu said “ Day to day progress of teaching of Acharya Dev needs a tangible result.” So some disciples questioned him about how to know that tangible result has been achieved. In response, Sri Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu replied, “If the personal attachment increases day to day, we know that tangible result is achieved. I can be attracted towards Sri Acharya Dev by his personality and other decisive qualities like any other disciple, I have nothing to gain more. But, if I remain attracted, devoted and attached to him during a period, when the whole world goes against him, I come to feel that tangible result has been achieved by me, i.e. whether I have eaten or not can be only felt when I eat.”

After Srila Prabhupad’s aprakat, Sri Acharya Dev was anonymously selected as the Spiritual Head of the Goudia Mission. This was published in all leading newspapers by Sri Kunja Babu, who was the Secretary of The Goudia Mission. This was just a little bit of Drama and Fiesta, played by Kunja Babu, who was internally hungering to become the Spiritual Head. So, after some months, he ( Kunja Babu)left the Mission to make his dreams come true. By seeing the attitude of Kunja Babu, some other disciples also left the Mission and formed their own monastery. The only reason for this was that, Sri Acharya Dev, did not tolerate any anti-bhakti activities in Ashram and took to strict disciplinary action against those, who disobeyed the orders of Guru. Although Kunja Babu did not obey the orders of Sri Acharya Dev, the same order was passed by Justice S.K. Ghose in the Court language given below:

The Court’s Decision:
U/S 500 I.P.C. Anant Basudev was duly declared the Spiritual Head of the Mission in accordance with the last wishes of the Founder President. It will appear from the “ Saptahik Goudiya” (Ex ‘E’) dated 17.04.37 that Anant Basudev was installed as the Spiritual Head on 26.3.37 at Mayapur (Nadia) and the proposal was accepted by Kunja Babu and others. This journal also contains photographs of installation ceremony.

I know Prabhupad to be a Spiritual Head. To go against the teachings and precepts of Prabhupad is to go against him in that fashion. If those, who are his disciples come away without making any arrangement for puja and Bhoga of the said Sri Murti, then I consider him going against Prabhupad.

After Kunja Babu and other disciples left the Mission, still there were some disciples in the Ashram, who were creating regular disturbances by the influency of those desciple, who have left the Mission, for their own rank and individual indentity. These regular disturbances made life intolerable for Sri Acharya Dev. So, Sri Acharya Dev left the Mission.

Likewise there were many disciples, who left their ranks and stayed in the Mission and some also left the Mission returned back to their family life (Gruhastha Ashram) by the order of the Guru Dev. Thereby I am going to mention about two disciples, who tried their best to keep up the Guru’s order.

They were;
(i) Sri Bhakti Kebala Oudulomi Maharaj and
(ii) Sri Bhakti Kumud, Jati Sekhar Das.

Sri Jati Sekhar Das was one of disciples, who were ordered to return for their family-life. Before leaving the Mission, Sri Jati Sekhar Das had questioned Sri Acharya Dev that, now he has already crossed the age limit (about 42 years) for leading a family life ( Gruhastha Ashram), moreover, neither he had house nor even a broom. In reply he just said two lines of Sri Narottamdas Thakur’s wordings; “ Guru Mukha Padma Bakya, Chitta tey Karia Aikya, Aar Na Kariba Mane Aassa.”

(Have confidence in the Guru Dev, without thinking of anything else)

By enquiring from some of the disciples about the welfare of their family life, they had answered in one tone, that, everything in their life had happened automatically.

Srila Bhakti Kebal Oudulomi Maharaj was a Tyagi Sanyasi, who was staying in the Mission After Sri Acharya Dev left the Mission, Srila Bhakti Kebal Oudulomi Maharaj had gone to meet him (Sri Acharya Dev) at “Bhajan Kutir” of Brindaban. When Sri Acharya Dev met him, he immediately respected him by offering his “ Pranam” by touching his feet. Here srila Oudulomi Maharaj told Sri Acharya Dev, that he should not have touched his feet as Sri acharya Dev was his Guru. In reply Sri Acharya Dev said that as he has come out of Sanyasi life, he is just an ordinary person (Gruhi). So, it is his duty to offer Srila Oudulomi Maharaj, his respect being fully aware of what Sri Acharya Dev said, Srila Oudulomi Mahartaj went to the bank of the river Jamuna and shred all his saffron dress with danda and upabita into the river Jamuna and came back in plain white clothes.After this, he offered his “Pranam” at Sri Acharya Dev’s feet. At this point, Sri Acharya Dev was highly astonished and told Srila Oudulomi Maharaj that, he was the right person, who understood the feeling and mental thoughts of Sri Acharya Dev. He even told Srila Oudulomi Maharaj to go and save the Mission from being destroyed. By this, Srila Oudulomi Maharaj showed to the people of the world that the saffrom dress and danda was just only a symbol for Sanyasi, leaving the dress does not hamper any qualities of a Sanyasi.

After the Court’s decision, Sri Acharya Dev before leaving the Mission, met Sri Kunja Babu at his residence, who was the root of all troubles and disturbances in the Mission, still Sri Acharya Dev did not forget to fulfill Sri Kunja Babu’s desire Sri Acharya Dev told Sri Kunja Babu that, why he (Kunja Babu) went to Court for such a simple thing. If Kunja Babu had told Sri Acharya Dev about his desire, he would have given the Mathas without any question hearing this, Sri Kunja Babu burst into tears. Sri Acharya Dev asked for a plain paper and gave 3/4th of the Math’s at different cities to Kunja Babu in writing.

While writing this, I am reminded the wording Lord Jesus, who at last said, “ Oh Father, forgive them, Thou they know not what they do.”

ADVICE OF BRUNDABANDAS THAKUR
“ Bhagbat Padhiya Karo Budhi Naas,
Ninde Abhadoot Chande Jagat Niwas.”

By reading religious books, the charactreristic attitude of an Abhadoot should not be measured. Those who dare to do this will be deprived of “ Kripa” (blessings).

So, according to Sri Sri Brudabandas Thakur, the behavior of the Baisnabs should follow the following lines:
“ Adhikiri Baisnabero Na Bujhi Byabahar
Je Jana Nindaye Tahara Nahiko Nistar
Adham Janero Je Achar Jeno Dharma
Adhikari Baisnabeo Kare Sehi Karma
Krishna Kripya Se Janibare Pare,
Esab Sankate Keha Mare, Keha Tare.
Sabe Hoithe Dekhi Ek Mahapratikar,
Sabare Kariba Stutee Binay Byabahar.”

Therefore, never try to analyse the charteristic behavior of high standard Baisnabs.


CLARIFICATION

The decision of Sri Srila A.C. Bhakti- bedanta, which he expressed in “ Sri Chaitanya Charitamrutha” in English is however not applicable for Sri Acharya Dev, i.e. Sri Anant Basudev.

He wrote “Later however some self-interested foolish disciples disobeyed his orders. Each one of them wanted to become head of the Mission and they fought in the Court neglecting the orders of the spiritual master and the entire mission was defeated”.

The above wordings are not meant for Sri Acharya Dev, because he was anonymously selected to be the next spiritual head by the older of Guru ( Sri Srila Saraswati Goswami). He voluntarily retired from the post of Acharya of the Mission. So, the question of fighting in the Court should not arise for him.

Sri Bhaktibedanta was simple disgusted with hopeless behavior of some self-interested desciples and expressed his views.

Discussion points between Raghavananda Roy and Aditya Palit about Gaudiya Dhara and Guru Paramapara :-

Dr. Raghavananda Roy met with Aditya Palit in the year 1996 in the “Nat Mandir” of Sachidananda Math Cuttack. At that time, Aditya Palit had consumed alcohol. Dr. Raghavananda Roy was present in the NatMandir. He held Aditya Palit’s hand along with one of his friend ( Aditya Palit’s) and took them to the Bhajan Kutir of Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad. Aditya Palit touched Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad’s “paduka” on his head and did a pranam. He told his friend that, they will stop consuming alcohol from that day onwards. Unfortunately, his friend could not stop that habit of consuming alcohol and after few days, Aditya Palit’s friend died. However, Aditya Palit used to come to Sachidananda Math everyday and attend the evening “Arati” and on all the days, from afternoon 4 to evening 6pm, he used to discuss Bhagbat Katha with Dr. Raghavananda Roy. The discussion were mostly related to Bhakti Siddhanta saraswati Gowasmi Thakur’s siddhanta’s . Gradually, as the days past by, Aditya Palit stopped smoking and alcohol consuming habit. One day, he questioned Dr. Raghavanada Roy as to where can he get “Sadguru Dikhya” . Dr. Raghavananda Roy informed that, at present ( during 1996 time period) in Gaudiya Parampara “ BhaktiBhushan Bharati Maharaj” is the Guru and residing in Nabadwip( West Bengal) . BhaktiBhushan Bharati Maharaj is the disciple or sanyasi of one of the Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami’s sanyasi’s “ Bhakti Kebala Oudlomi Maharaj”. Hearing these, Aditya Palit told that, his father Batakrishna Palit is also a disciple of Oudlomi Maharaj. Aditya Palit informed Dr. Raghavanada Roy that, in the beginning near to his house, there was a garden of Sachidananda Math and also Binod Raman Jew was also present. At that time, the Sachidananda Math was not established. Dr. Raghavananda Roy informed Aditya Palit that, he had God’s blessings which caused the meeting between the two in the Math. After that, both went to Nabadwip to meet Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj. But during that time, Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj went to Bajkul Ashram . Aditya Palit visited the Chaitanya Pitha , Jog Pitha in Mayapur. Then he visited Bhakti Binod Thakur’s Samadhi ( Sanada Sukhada Kunja) . He visited Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur’s Samadhi and Bhakti Kebala Oudlomi Maharaj’s Samadhi pitha as well. He went to the river Ganga and took a holy dip and he went towards Bajkul , he met Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj. Aditya Palit’s eyes were full of tears immediately. He did a sastanga pranam to Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj. He informed Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj that, if he can take him to Golak Dham in this birth. After hearing this, Bharati Maharaj told Aditya Palit, that he can stay with him , he will take him to Golak Dham. Aditya Palit told Dr. Raghavananda Roy that, he does not want to come back to Cuttack to his home anymore. But, Dr. Raghavananda Roy informed Aditya Palit, he can go back to his home at present but later he can again comeback and stay with Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj. Listening to this, both returned to Cuttack again. But after returning to Cuttack, after some days they went to Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj’s Tigiria Ashram, Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj was present in Tigiria Ashram at that time. Aditya Palit informed his life, the sad incidents to Bharati Maharaj. Bharati Maharaj heard all and he said . Lord Krishna has taken away all your belongings from you to take you to Golak Dham. Bharati Maharaj informed Aditya Palit to start reading Bhagbata and Chaitanya Bhagbat from today onwards. He said , this is his advice and mantra as well. After getting the advice from Bharati Maharaj, Aditya Palit bough 12 parts of Bhagbat and Chaitanya Charitamrutha and started reading those books. As suggested by Dr. Raghavananda Roy, within one month Aditya Palit completed all the stanza’s mentioned in the Chaitanya Charitamrutha and also understood and by hearted all the slokas. Aditya Palit discussed these sloka’s with Dr. Raghavananda Roy. After some days, he wrote a life biography of Acharya Dev ( Bhakti Prasad Puri Goswami Thakur) and decided to publish a book on him. Fortunately, one of the disciple’s from California (USA) “Sounak Das Prabhu (ISKCON Disciple) provided Rs 2000 to Dr. Raghavananda Roy. He helped to publish the book. Aditya Palit and Dr. Raghavananda Roy discussed all the facts, discussed all the tatwa’s and started writing the book. Aditya Palit informed Dr. Raghavananda Roy to publish the book with his name because Dr. Raghavananda Roy’s father ( Jati Sekhar Praabhu) was one of the disciple of Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami thakur and Dr. Raghavananda Roy himself is the disciple of Oudlomi Maharaj Prabhu and he also holds a PHD in Sanskrit which will allow people to identify him and recognize him. Aditya Palit took permission from Bharati Maharaj and then published the book i.e “
An Unforgettable Personality. The book is written about Paramhansa Acharyadev Puri Goswami Thakur Prabhu. After few days, Bharati Maharaj “Aprakat” happened. After that, based on Guru Parampara , there was a discussion between Aditya Palit and Dr. Raghavananda Roy. Aditya Palit informed Dr. Raghavananda Roy to inform about the Guru Parampara to the entire world. This is one of the main reasons why Dr. Raghavananda Roy wrote few lines on Guru Parampara.

Attaching few letters which implies clearly that, Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur did not like some of the things which were done by Kunja Babu who was the Then Secretary of the Goudiya Math. These are judge court statements written in Oriya Language.

After Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur’s aprakat , Kunja Babu had filed a case in the court. Kunja Babu mentioned that, Goudiya Math is a Private Trust and not a Public Trust. He said lot of things against Saraswati Goswami Thakur. Below attached letters are the objections which came from the Judge of the court against Kunja Babu’s allegations.

This above letter was sent by Saraswati Goswami Thakur to Kunja Babu about Smarta Ceremony.

According to Vaisnav Dharma – Vaisnav’s don’t follow Smarta Ceremony. Since Kunja Babu was following these , Saraswati Thakur was disappointed on him.



From all the above letters, we need to know that , where are we heading towards interms of Bhakti Dhara?

Kunja Babu and Paramananda Vidya Ratna Prabhu considered Ananta Basudev Puri Goswami Thakur as the Guru or Acharya of the Goudiya Mission. However, they started to disobey him as the days passed by. Kunja Babu who was amongst the closest associates of Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur Prabhupad, told that, Saraswati Goswami Thakur is a “Sudra” .Sudra is one of the low grades of community in the human society. Also, he said, Prabhupad although a Sanyasi, used to wear Overcoat and Shoes. Adding to this , he also said – Prabhupad established the printing press for his own self interest and not for the Mission purpose. Kunja Babu filed cases against Prabhupad in the court. We have produced the Judge Court details above in this document for your reference.

Judge has objected all the allegations made by Kunja Babu.

Kunja Babu became Guru in Chaitanya Math, Mayapur (West Bengal, India) . In the Math, after Saraswati Thakur’s photo, Kunja Babu ( Bhakti Vilas Tirtha Maharaj) ‘s photo is put as the next Guru as per the parampara. Which is not correct.

After Kunja Babu, people are making Guru / Acharya as per GBC board or becoming Guru on their own and not as per Guru Parampara. Do you think, by becoming Guru like this, will they be able to take a person to Radha and Krishna ? The answer is NO.

After Saraswati Goswami Thakur Prabhupad’s aprakat, the secretary of Gaudiya Math (Kunja Babu) and with all the other Sanyasi’s suggestions and approval, it was decided that Acharya Dev ( Ananta Basudev Thakur) should be the next Guru. According to Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur, one should surrender to Acharya Dev and chant Hari Naam. Refer – Srimad Bhagbat 1st Chapter , Goudiya Bhasya Anantagopal Mangalacharan.

Saraswati Goswami Thakur Prabhupad had also praised Ananta Basudev , refer Gaudiya Sonkhya 1200, Page 51.

After Acharya Dev’s aprakat, Bhakti Kebala Oudlomi Maharaj as per Acharya Dev’s advice in the beginning did not become the Guru / Acharya, he asked Bhakti Binod Thakur’s first disciple and Saraswati Goswami Thakur’s first Sanyasi i.e Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami Thakur to become the Guru / Acharya of the Gaudiya Mission.

After Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami Thakur’s aprakat happened , Bhakti Kebala Oudlomi Maharaj worked as the Guru / Acharya for 27 years before his aprakat happened in the year 1982.

15 days before Oudlomi Maharaj ‘s aprakat i.e ( During Guru Puja) , he informed Jati Sekhar Das at Nabadwip Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goudiya Math about the Gaudiya Mission culture and also informed infront of the present Sanyasi / Brahmachari that, the next acharya should be Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj. This can be referred in Paramarthi 35 Years , II.

But today in Gaudiya Math’s we do not see Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj’s photo. Nobody knows that, he was selected as the Guru/Acharya. It is surprising and shocking that, how this kind of thing can happen . Instead of Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj we see a different personality as the current Guru.

In today’s internet age, you surf by “Gaudiya Guru Parampara” as the search – You will see millions of millions of results which shows numerous maths information and the Guru is a different person in each math’s . With this, how does a person get the path for reaching Golak Dham – It is a very serious and unfortunate thing happening in the world. Real Preceptorial path is not known to 99% of the people in this world.

Guru Parampara is also referred as Bhakti Binod Dhara.

Note :- Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu (N.K.Sanyal) ,Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami Thakur, Sudarananda Vidya Binod Thakur and Bhakti Kumud Jati Sekhar Prabhu are the close associates of Puri Goswami Thakur. Together , they have about 20 years of association with Ananta Basudev Puri Goswami Thakur. They have considered Acharya Dev as the next Guru after Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur.

Few Important Notes for your information :

After Oudlomi Maharaj’s aprakat , the Governing body of the Goudiya Mission i.e Bhakti swarup Bhagbat Maharaj( secretary of gaudiya mission) was considered as the next acharya. Bhagbat Maharaj became the acharya but after becoming the acharya he criticized Acharya Dev Puri Goswami thakur’s getting married issue. Bhagbat Maharaj removed Acharya Dev Puri Goswami Thakur’s name from the Guru Parampara in the book “ Bhakti Siddhanta Ratna Mala” . In Puri (Orissa) Purusottam Math Nata Mandir, Bhagbat Maharaj removed Acharya Dev Puri Goswami Thakur’s photo from the Guru Parampara. Also, in Nabadwip Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goudiya Math , in Chaitanya Mahaprabhus’ lila temple, he removed Acharya Dev Puri Goswami from the Guru Parampara. (Reference – Ninda Nuhe Satya b ook written by Priya Krishna Das , also refer Paramarthi – 40 years , 4th, 5th sonkhya , 25th May 1986)

Bhakti  Srirup Bhagbat Maharaj took Hari Nam from Saraswati Thakur and he was a Bramhachari in Goudiya Mission. Bramhachari Name was – Rupa Vilas Prabhu. He took Sanyas from Audlomi Maharaj.

He was the Secretary of Goudiya Mission.  After Audlomi Maharaj, the GBC board selected him as the next Guru. This selection was not as per the Guru Parampara i.e Audlomi Maharaj did not say that Bhagbat Maharaj will be the next Guru. After becoming Guru, he criticized Puri Goswami Thakur which we have discussed already. If he is so against of Puri Goswami Thakur, then why he did not go out of Goudiya Mission like Kunja Babu , Sridhar Maharaj, A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami etc did.  Why Bhagbat Maharaj remained in Goudiya Mission and then disobeyed Puri Goswami Thakur.

Doing this, Bhagbat Maharaj himself or the present Guru ( Paribrajak Maharaj) (not as per Guru Parampara) do you think they will give the Love of Radha Krishna and take their devotees to Golok Dham? We don’t expect this.

Due to all these reasons which are against Guru Parampara, Bhakti Kumud Jati Sekhar Das and Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj opposed Bhagbat Maharaj and they voluntarily came out of the monthly duties related to “Paramarthi” editing. After that, Jati Sekhar Das remembered the last speech of Audlomi Maharaj and he accepted Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj as the next acharya. After that, Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj established Krishna Chaitanya Sevashram at Tigiria (Orissa). Amol Babu who is the disciple of Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj donated his entire property for establishing Krishna Chaitanya Sevashram in Tigiria, Nabadwip, Bajkul, Brindaban and Puri. The Math’s name is “Bhakti Keval Oudlomi Sri Krishna Chaitanya Sevashram”. Amol Babu is a true disciple of Guru Thakur. He surrendered himself to Bharati Maharaj Thakur completely. The sad part is – the book published by R.P.Sasmal about Bharati Maharaj’s biography i.e “Brajer Kusum – Part 1, “does not include a single instance about Amol Babu. Rather, R.P.Sasmal has mentioned about Ardhendu Babu ( brother of Amol Babu) and it is written in the book that – R.P.Sasmal saw a dream in which Bharati Mahraj told him that person who gives pain to Ardhendu Babu will go through a lot of sorrow and pain in his/her entire life.
Question – How true is this dream which R.P.Sasmal saw ?

Before Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj’s aprakat, he did not refer anyone for the next acharya or Guru. Bhakti Kumud Jati Sekhar Das informed that, after Bharati Maharaj, there will be a dark period in Gaudiya Guru Parampara. He informed that, after Bharati Maharaj, the Guru Parampara is a secret or hidden. But it is not completely lost or stopped.

At present, after Bharati Maharaj’s aprakat, some people took Bharati Maharaj’s jap mala and behaving as Guru/ Acharya. But this was never informed /suggested by Bharati Maharaj to those people who are acting as Guru which is completely illegal.

Bhakti Kumud Jati Sekhar prabhu informed that, everyone should chant “Pancha Tatwa” and Tulsi Seva and stay together since there is no Guru or Acharya.
How Tulsi Seva should be done :-

Adaitya Acharya worshipped Lord Krishna to come as an avatar in this world with the help of Tulsi and Ganga Jal . It is written in the Padma Puran as to how to do Tulsi Seva. Tulsi is the Manjari or Gopi of Lord Krishna. Tulsi seva should not be done in the surroundings of Non-Veg food items. We should not step on the shades of Tulsi. Tulsi leaf should not be used as medicine. Tulsi is considered as Guru.

Without Tulsi’s blessings , we cannot get get Lord Krishna and Radharani.

Bhakti Bikas Swami Maharaj who is the devotee of ISKCON published a book called “Bhakti Siddhanta Vaibhav” . In Page No – 345 he has mentioned that, Ananta Basudev’s statements became clear that, he considered Srila Saraswati Thakur not a Nitya Sidhya.

Page No 345 (last paragraph) says - The later history of Ananta Basudev Prabhu is unusual and fraught with controversies. After Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur’s demise , Ananta Basudev was appointed Acharya of the Gaudiya Mission and took Sanyas with the name “ Bhakti Prasad Puri Goswami Thakur” but amid the ensuing in fighting, he gave up Sanyas. He got married and abdicted as head of mission. It was widely reported that, he also rejected some teaching and practices imparted by his Guru. For instance, starting that, Srila Saraswati Thakur’s introducing of Sanyas was not according to Shastra and disagreeing with his conception of Parampara from the certain of Ananta Basudev’s statements became clear that, he considered Srila Saraswati Goswami Thakur not a Nitya Sidhya. Thus Ananta Basudev was rejected by most of his God Brothers and many of the disciples.

Our Objection to the above –
1. Where is the proof that Puri Goswami Thakur has stated in his statements that Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur considering him as not a Nitya Sidhya?

2. Did Jatisekhar Prabhu tell this to Bikash Maharaj? If yes, please share the proof.

Shortly before Srila Saraswati Thakur passed away, some disciple asked him that – when you leave this world, who will speak your message to the world? To this question – Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur replied that - Basudev ( Puri Goswami Thakur) is intimate with my thoughts, whatever I have told , whatever I have not told , all will be explained by Basudev. Rupa Raghunath Vani will be taught by Basudev. (Reference - Goudiya Math’er Vartaman Abastha’r Itihas).

Bhakti Bikash Maharaj should review the above message from Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur.
Question arises here that – Looks like A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami is not aware of this message from Srila Saraswati Thakur otherwise the devotees in ISKCON would have considered Puri Goswami Thakur as the next Guru or Acharya.

After Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur, people could not understand the marriage lila of Bhakti Prasad Puri Goswami Thakur and people started constructing separate Matha’s and became individual Guru of those Matha’s. Those who became Guru’s has committed serious offence in the Lotus Feet of Nityananda Prabhu because Guru is same as Nityananda Prabhu.

Interesting discussion between Dr. Raghavanada Roy’s discussion with Mr. Dibakar Mishra –
Dr. Raghavananda Roy met Mr. Dibakar Mishra who resides in Nua Patna, near Choudwar, District Cuttack (Orissa) in the year 2006. Mr. Dibakar Mishra’s house name is Puri Parag. After that meet, Mr. Dibakar sent a letter to Dr. Raghavananda Roy dated 28.1.2006 , where he has mentioned that, Bhakti Binod Thakur and Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur’s teachings are not according to the “Sada Goswami “ He also mentioned that , Bhakti Binod Thakur’s “ Jaiva Dharma” is against Siddhanta. He specifically said , the word “Jaiva Dharma” itself is against Siddhanta. Mr. Dibakar is a disciple of Puri Goswami Thakur, he does not consider Bhakti Binod Thakur and Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur as Acharya at all.

Another thing which needs to be noted – Mr. Dibakar Mishra publishes a book named “ Vaisnava BratoUtsava Talika” – This particular book was published by Dibakar Mishra as it was ordered by Puri Goswami Thakur to him. Mr. Dibakar Mishra has not included the prakat and aprakat tithi’s of Bhakti Binod Thakur and Srila Saraswati Thakur in that book. However the interesting part is – He has included the prakat and aprakat tithi’s of Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami Thakur and Bhakti Sudhkar Prabhu (N.K. Sanyal) in that book.

Question here is – Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami and Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu follow Bhakti Binod Thakur and Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur. So, what made Mr. Dibakar Mishra to decide not to follow Bhakti Binod Thakur and Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur?

Also Mr. Dibakar Mishra mentioned that, Puri Goswami Thakur did not accept Bhakti Binod Thakur and Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur . We need proof for this from Mr. Dibakar Mishra.
We would also request Mr. Dibakar Mishra to publish his siddhanta’s or tatva’s as to how to reach Golok Dham in Internet. This is our request.

About Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj :-

Dr. Raghavananda Roy went to Tigiria (Orissa) to meet Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj in the year 2003. While discussing few things, he asked Guru Thakur about the next Guru, the answer to that question was - He is waiting for Gour Sundar’s wish.

I ( Sri Raghavananda Roy) received a letter from Anusuya Mohapatra who stays in Tigiria. The letter was written by Bharati Maharaj himself. In the letter it is mentioned that, after the aprakat of Guru Thakur, the matha administration or secretary responsibilities will be given to Bhakti Pran Niskinchan Maharaj. People who think that Guru Thakur has made Bhakti Prana Niskinchan Maharaj as the next Guru , then it is a false imagination.
Below is the letter written by Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj :-



After the aprakat of Bharati Maharaj, people who were present in the GBC board (GBC board of Bhakti Keval Audlomi Sri Krishna Chaitanya Sevashram” ) some of the names were – R.P. Sasmal, Gour Gopal Sahoo ( Sanyas Name – Golak Bihari Das), Dr. Keshavananda Roy, Nityananda Patra(Sanyas Name – Nabin Madhav Prabhu). In the GBC board, there were a mix of Gruhasta as well as Bramhachari and Sanyasis. After Bharati Maharaj’s aprakat, Dr. Raghavananda Roy requested Niskinchan Maharaj and the GBC board members to make “Aranya Maharaj” to give “japita mala” to devotees , but not as a Guru.
He has to follow the duty similar to what Bharat did . Bharat did puja of Rama’s paduka when Rama was in forest for 14 years. Dr. Raghavananda Roy requested Niskinchan Maharaj to do the secretary work of the Matha as it was told by Bharati Maharaj before his aprakat. But none of these suggestions were followed by anyone in the Matha.
After sometime, the GBC board was dissolved, few changes were made. According to the GBC board, they made Bansi Badan Prabhu as the next Guru. Once this happened, Aranya Maharaj came out of the board and he built a separate Math in Remuna ( Balasore, Orissa) and he stays in that Math currently.

Names of the people who were following Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj as Guru :-

3. Gobinda Maharaj
4. Akinchan Maharaj
Bhramachari:

If any of these person names mentioned above , are treating themselves as Guru / Acharya or if in future if they tell someone else to become Guru / Acharya after them, it is not according to the Guru Parampara AT ALL.

Those who want to become Guru , then if they think the above sloka does not hold good for them , then they cannot become the Guru / Acharya. Dr. Raghavananda Roy had a discussion with Bharati Maharaj about Bhakti Sandarva in Nabadwip in 2003, where Bharati Maharaj said that – if a person is performing Bhakti sadhan , if they are Nidruta Kashai.e , then he can become a Guru.

Our Question here is – If the prior Guru i.e ( Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj) did not say anything about Aranya Maharaj as the next Guru, then how come Guru Gouranga gave him a signal for becoming the next Guru !! Please let us know about this , we want to know.

Jati Sekhar Prabhu also told that, after Bharati Maharaj, there will be a dark age in Guru Parampara. He had asked people to do Tulsi Seva and do Panchatatva.

Since no one is following these words of Bharati Maharaj Thakur and Jati Sekhar Prabhu , nobody is following the Gaudiya Rules . It will be a disaster if we continue to do the same ..by continuing the same - it is guaranteed that, nobody can reach Golok Dham.

Important Note - Dr. Raghavananda Roy had a verbal discussion with Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj and also sent a letter to Bharati Maharaj about the Guru Parampara and who will be the next Guru.

To that discussion and the letter , Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj had sent a letter to Dr. Raghavananda Roy on 12/6/1994 which states the below :-
I am fully dependent on Guru Gouranga, I have firm belief in Naam Prabhu. These ashram, math, motor etc are created or obtained by formality. I have no thinking whatsoever if these are demolished.

I have not come here to build Math’s, I have come here to follow my Guru and entire Guru Dhara.

I have no interest in thinking whether anyone comes to help me , Jodi tor dak sone keu na , se tobe ekla cholo re ( very famous quote by Rabindranath Tagore) , for my Guru’s seva I have surrendered before all the Jiva’s.

Facts which are never told to the people :-
As per the book “Bhakti Siddhanta Vaibhav” written by Bhakti Bikash Swami Maharaj , refer page – 390 – It is mentioned that, Sri Jatisekhar Prabhu related that, he first met Sri Abhay Charan Prabhu on the sea shore in Jagannath Puri (Orissa) while collecting Alms for Matha and requested him to come to Sri Purushottam Matha for Darshan of Srila Saraswati Thakur. Whenever Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati was present in the Gaudiya Math, Abhayda would go directly to meet him without soliciting anyone else permission.Sometimes he also met Acharyadev (Puri Goswami Thakur) and usually would not mix merge with others. Some God Brothers would criticize as to who is this overly bold house holder who without consulting us goes directly to speak with Guru Maharaj. But Abhayda did not care for that comment.

So that, we can also check with him in future and get to know about the same. In the same article it is mentioned that, Ananta Vasudev Thakur died by consuming poison. Is there any evidence for this statement from anyone? Request you to kindly mention your name and contact details so that we can contact you for our own understanding also.

They are the close associates of Ananta Basudev Puri Goswami Thakur. These 5 disciples have considered Puri Goswami Thakur as Guru. They had an association of around 20 years with Puri Goswami Thakur. A.C. Bhaktivedanta had a very small duration of association with Puri Goswami Thakur. Looks like , A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami had a great misunderstanding in knowing Puri Goswami Thakur. Did A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami get any information about this from somewhere? Please share the facts with us.

By publishing these things, you are actually putting A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami ‘s name in shame before all.

Especially he got married after he took sanyas. One thing we need to understand here that , when Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami thakur appointed Ananta Vasudev Puri Goswami Thakur as the next acharya, does anyone think that….Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur did not know whom he is selecting as the Guru / Acharya. In Numerous occasions Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur has praised Ananta Vasudev Puri Goswami Thakur. He used to call him “Ganesh” . When a Guru selects his own successor, it is not done without any judgement and Ananta Vasudev was selected by his own Guru. People did not understand the fact that why Ananta Vasudev Puri Goswami Thakur got married.

Our question to the world is - We consider Guru and Nityananda as the same. If Nityananda can get married twice , Shyamananda Prabhu can get married thrice after taking Sanyas then why Guru cannot get married.

(Even if Lord Nityananda associates with a characterless woman or drinks wine, He must be
regarded as the Absolute Object of veneration by Brahma, the creator of this world. Lord Gourchandra Himself has proclaimed this truth).

After Ananta Vausdev Puri Goswami Thakur became the Acharya, he did not like the working culture of the Math and Mission ( For Example :- Namdhari Sanyasa, Abaidha Strisanga).

Today due to the misunderstanding of people towards Ananta Vasudev Puri Goswami Thakur, the Gaudiya Guru Parampara is not followed.In lot of the Gaudiya Math Ananta Vasudev Puri Goswami Thakur’s photos are removed. The Guru Dhara was broken . We need to understand here that, if we do not follow the Guru Dhara, it is not possible to reach Golak Dham ever. If we want to reach near Lord Radha and Krishna, we need to follow the Guru Parampara .

Guru Parampara or Guru Dhara is not something which can be manipulated as and when it is required. This is one concept which is the purest line to reach Lord Radha and Krishna. We see in some of the largest institutions on Krishna Consiciousness sites that, the Guru Dhara has been manipulated and people are not leaving any stone to attract people. This is something which is a great offence towards Guru Parampara. This is one of the reasons Bhakti Kumud Jati Sekhar Prabhu has mentioned that after Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj, there will be a dark period in Guru Parampara. He has asked people to do panchatatva and do Tulsi Seva. By doing so, one day real Guru will come. Bharati Bhushan Bharati Maharaj’s aprakat was in the year 2005. Guru Parampara dhara is not Lupta but it is Gupta.

It is very sad to see that, these days some of the people who have taken Sanyas, are misutilising their responsibilities. They are making themselves as Guru . Some people are using Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj japita mala and informing people that, they are the present Guru. This is a serious offence.

Bharati Maharaj’s name is removed from the Guru Parampara. We have asked the Gaudiya Mission through their site that, why Bharati Maharaj’s name is not there in the Guru Parampara, we did not get any response. It is not so easy to put anyone in the Guru Dhara. Without respecting the Guru Parampara, one can never get the eternal bliss/nectar of Sri Radha and Krishna.

If one really wants to know more about Ananta Basudev Puri Goswami Thakur, they should read the book named – Preceptorial Line of Succession (Srila Acharyadev).

Objections to certain articles :-
Bhakti Bikas Swami Maharaj who is a devotee of ISKCON , he published a book named “ Bhakti Siddhanta Vaibhav” Page No – 345, he has mentioned that, Ananta Vasudev’s statements became clear that, he considered Srila Saraswati Thakur not a Nitya Siddhya.

Objection : - What proof you got which made you to say something like this?
Our question is – Did Bikas Maharaj get any information about this from Bhakti Kumud Jati Sekhar Prabhu?


In Bhakti Siddhanta Viabhav Page 343 Bikas Maharaj has mentioned –
Basudev Prabhu was instrumental in introducing the first annual observance of Vyas Puja on Srila Saraswati Thakur’s “Abirbhava Tithi” in 1924 during which he revealed Pranam Mantra honoring his Gurudeb.Thereafter, his mantras were congregationally chanted matutinally each day in every Goudiya Math. Basudev Prabhu also composed Pranam Mantra for Srila Gour Kishore Das Babaji., Srila Bhakti Binod Thakur, Jagannath Das Babaji. Moreover, he introduced the starting of Astatoro Sottasree and Om Vishnu Pad in formal writing and utterance…..

From this pranam mantra it is absolutely clear that - Bhakti Prasad Puri Goswami Thakur considered Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur as the Nitya Siddhya.

Until today this Pranam Mantra have remained standard within most of the Goudiya Math diaspora and also within ISKCON.
Question here – People who did not follow Ananta Basudev Puri Goswami Thakur as Guru/Acharya because he left Goudiya Mission and other various reasons that has been written against him - How come his pranam mantra is being chanted in all Goudiya Math’s and ISKCON.?
By not considering Puri Goswami Thakur as the Guru – are you not offending Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur then???

Another statement made by Bikas Maharaj that – Any acharya can be given a title “Prabhupad”
Objection :- Like Bapuji means Mahatma Gandhi, likewise Prabhupad means only Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur. There cannot be multiple Prabhupads. Srila Saraswati Goswami Thakur is the Guru for Bhagbat Parampara, so, his disciples called him as Prabhupada.

Most of these stories are beyond any question of controversy. But in several instances we find that Sarasvati Thakura’s instructions seem to differ from those of His Divine Grace A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Actually there is no difference of opinion whatsoever between Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura and “our” Srila Prabhupada. Only, according to time, place and circumstances they have presented Krsna consciousness a little differently. In siddhanta there is absolutely no difference at all.

To the above we have one question i.e - Does that mean that, the path which Chaitanya Mahaprabhu showed people to follow, the Guru Dhara , The Preceptorial Line , can be manipulated as and when required? Reason - Today the world is different and we need different methodologies to preach the same concept. This thought needs some inner introspection.

 

 

From Madhavendra Puri to Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj – This dhara is called Raganuga Bhakti Dhara. Reference Material – Srimad Bhagbat , 1st Chapter, Goudiya Bhasya written by Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur Prabhupad.

This Guru Parampara Dhara is written by Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur in Goudiya Magazine – Refer Volume 21 , Issue 33 to 35 . Also refer Saraswati Jayshri – Page 361 , edited by Sri Sundarananda Bidya Binod Thakur. Guru Parampara Volume 17 , Issue 29 , page 492.

During Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur prakat , he wrote in Goudiya Bhasya’s Ananta Gopal Tathya’s Mangalacharan :-

Sri Ram Gopal Ase
Basudevananta Dase
Thakiyato Sabalaha Nam
Please refer the above sloka in Bhagbat Part – 1
Meaning - Everybody should surrender to Sri Ananta Basudev Thakur and take Sri Ram Gopal’s Naam.
Sri Ram Gopal - Adi 1-70 ( Refer Chaitanya Bhagbat)
Ki aare Ram Gopal e bada lagi ache
Here – Ram said “Nityananda” means Guru and Gopal means Krishna.

So, Prabhupad means to say that, we need to surrender to Ananta Basudev Thakur and then take Krishna and Guru’s Naam.
Through the above details, we object the article published in Bhakti Siddhanta Vaibhav Page 345 , vol 2 where Bikas Maharaj (ISKCON devotee) has mentioned that Puri Goswami Thakur considered Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur not a Nitya Sidhya.

We have already mentioned earlier that – Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswat Thakur referred Ananta Basudev Thakur as Ganesh.

After Acharya Dev did the marriage lila , he was doing bhajan in Radha Kunda (Brindaban). During that time, he handed over the Acharya responsibility to Bhakti Kebal Audlomi Maharaj , but Audlomi Maharaj mentioned and suggested that, Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami Maharaj to become Guru. Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami Thakur was the first sanyasi of Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur and he took Hari Nam from Bhakti Binod Thakur.

After Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami Thakur’s aprakat in 1954, Bhakti Kebal Audlomi Maharaj became the Acharya of Goudiya Mission. This was according to the order given by Puri Goswami Thakur during his presence.

During Audlomi Maharaj’s prakat , in December 23, 1981 at (Godrum Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goudiya Math, Nabadwip), Jati Sekhar Prabhu asked Audlomi Maharaj to tell who will be the next Acharya . Audlomi Maharaj mentioned Bharati Maharaj’s name as the next Guru. Refer ( Paramarthi , year 35, sonkhya 1100). Even after this was discussed, while Audlomi Maharaj’s prakat, everybody knew about this that, Bharati Maharaj will be the next Guru. The then secretary of Goudiya Mission i.e Bhagbat Maharaj did not follow this and he himself became the Guru of the mission.

Bhagbat Maharaj published a book called “ Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Ratna Mala” where he removed Puri Goswami Thakur and Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami Thakur from the Guru Parampara. (Refer – Paramarthi , year 40, 25th May 1986, 4&5th Sonkhya)

Note : Before Bhagbat Maharaj’s aprakat, if there was any written or verbal communication that, after him , Paribrajak Maharaj will be the next Guru , but Paribrajak Maharaj is not a Guru according to Goudiya Guru Parampara. Because becoming Guru as per the GBC board is not the way of becoming Guru.

Goudiya Mission’s few activities which are against Guru Dhara:-
1. After Bhagbat Maharaj became the Guru of Goudiya Mission (which is again not as per the Guru Dhara), he removed Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami thakur’s photo from Tirtha Maharaj’s bhajan Kutir. Which is equal to giving disrespect to Tirtha Maharaj. At present, that Bhajan Kutir is being used as Tourist Guest House.

2. The current Guru / Acharya of Goudiya Mission i.e Paribrajak Maharaj did a unjustified construction work in the Cuttack Sachidananda Math. Earlier, there was a open terrace infront of Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur’s bhajan Kutir. Paribrajak Maharaj made few rooms on the terrace infront of Prabhupad’s bhajan kutir. The room includes a toilet and latrine as well. When Dr. Raghavananda Roy objected this with Paribrajak Maharaj, he did not put any importance to this.

By doing all these above acts, we are showing the world that, we do not pay respect to the Gurus or the Guru Parampara.

Dr.Raghavananda Roy requested the present Guru ( Paribrajak Maharaj who is again not the Guru as Guru Parampara) to keep Tirtha Maharaj’s photo in Tirtha Maharaj’s bhajan kutir in Purusottam Math in Puri, but he did not respond to Dr. Roy.  During Audlomi Maharaj’s prakat kal, he used to do a parikrama around Tirtha Maharaj’s bhajan kutir.

During Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur’s prakat, he sent Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami and Bon Maharaj to United Kingdom and Germany to preach Goudiya Siddhanta.

Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami and Bon Maharaj were preaching under the guidance of Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu ( N.K.Sanyal) . The attached letters above will provide you the details about the same.

Also, just wanted to mention one more thing – Whatever Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu writes in articles, Bon Maharaj showed the same when he was preaching in Europe.

The main intention to write this is – It is thought in todays world that A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami has started the preaching in Foreign countries. But the truth is – During Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami’s prakat ( 1934-1937) the Goudiya Siddhanta preaching was already started in Western Countries. Saraswati Goswami Thakur infact told A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami during 1934-37 to preach the Goudiya Siddhanta in the western countries under the guidance of Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu, Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami Thakur , Bon Maharaj. But after Saraswati Goswami Thakur’s aprakat, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami did not keep any relationship with Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu / Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami Thakur / Bon Maharaj. A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami did not keep relationship with Ananta Basudev Puri Goswami Thakur as well. A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami started preaching on his own. By doing this, he actually broke the Goudiya Siddhanta Prachar dhara.

Sridhar Maharaj, Kunja Babu, Bharati Maharaj, Nemi Maharaj, Aranya Maharaj, Madhab Maharaj, Bon Maharaj, Paramananda Vidya Ratna, Bhakti Saranga Goswami etc. and many Sanyasi’s of Bhakti Siddhanta Sarswati Goswami Thakur considered Puri Goswami Thakur as the next Guru after Prabhupad’s aprakat. All Ghruhasta / Bramhachari considered him as the Guru. The date was 26th March 1937. Bhakti Vivek Bharati Maharaj who was the chairman of Goudiya Mission , under his guidance everybody accepted Puri Goswami Thakur as the next Guru. After Acharya Dev became the Guru , nobody followed Acharya Dev due to various reasons and everyone created their own Math’s and Temples and became Guru.

As per Chaitanya Charitamruta Adilila 2nd Chapter, slok No- 86 –
Vrama Pramad Bipralipsa Korenapataba
Asa Bigyanbake Naidos EiSob

Meaning – When a person becomes Guru , he does not do anything wrong. If he does anything wrong, then he cannot be a Guru.
Ananta Basudev Thakur became the Guru after Saraswati Thakur, people who did not consider him as Guru , the question arises here - The people who has constructed Math’s and Temples and has become Guru themselves , then do you think they will be able to take a person to Golok Dham.?

Bhakti Kumud Jati Sekhar Prabhu was betrayed by the Goudiya Math just because he supported Acharya Dev (Puri Goswami Thakur) . See the below facts to know about the same :-

Jati Sekhar Prabhu took Harinam from Saraswati Thakur, for 20 years he was a Bramhachari. After Prabhupad’s aprakat, the next Acharya i.e Puri Goswami Thakur’s instructions/ order – Jati Sekhar Prabhu got married. After Puri Goswami Thakur, Bhakti Kebal Audlomi Mahraj became the Guru / Acharya. Hence, Jati sekhar Prabhu’s entire family became the disciple of Audlomi Maharaj. Audlomi Maharaj informed the then secretary (Bhagbat Maharaj) to grant a piece of land at the back side of Sachidananda Math in Cuttack town. There was an agreement between the Math and Annapurna Roy (wife of Jati Sekhar Prabhu) at the cost of 5000 Rupees. The agreement says – Jatisekhar Prabhu’s family will stay in that place to do hari bhajan. But since, it is an endowment permission denial , the land could not be registered. After Audlomi Maharaj’s aprakat , Bhagbat Maharaj became the Guru ( not according to Guru Parampara) , after becoming Guru, he removed Puri Goswami Thakur from the Guru Parampara. These criticism about Puri Goswami Thakur is published in the book named – Nindaniya Satya ( written by PriyaKrishna Das, Tigiria). There are lot of objections made by PriyaKrishna Das in this book against Bhagbat Maharaj’s criticism against Acharya Dev. With all these criticism which were against Puri Goswami Thakur , Bharati Maharaj did not like this and he came out of the Goudiya Mission. Jati Sekhar Prabhu was ordered by Audlomi Maharaj to establish Bharati Maharaj as the next Guru. Knowing these information, Goudiya Mission filed a case against Annapurna Roy for the land which was provided to Jati Sekhar Prabhu’s family. Court ordered to give 20 decimil from the total property to 5 members out of total 7 members. The 2 family members who were excluded were – Dr. Raghavananda Roy and his sister Lilavati Roy due to family disturbance. Raghavananda Roy requested his brothers and sisters to keep the Bhakti Kebal Padapitha and Jatisekhar Prabhu’s Bhajan Kutir. But his bothers and sisters did not keep the padapitha or bhajan kutir. Rather they kept the place for their living. Goudiya Mission demolished the old Bhajan Kutir of Jati Sekhar Prabhu.

The sad part is – Jati Sekhar Prabhu who had done so much for the Goudiya Mission in his entire life time. He fought for Acharya Dev Puri Goswami Thakur. But, his own family did not give him the respect that he deserved also the Goudiya Mission which betrayed him when he had done a lot for the Mission. There cannot be a sad thing than this.

Gour Sundar and Saraswati Goswami Thakur Prabhupad will do this judgement.

Bhakti Sudhakar Prabhu, Sundarananda Vidya Binod Prabhu and Jatisekhar Prabhu were the close associates of Ananta Basudev Puri Goswami Thakur.
Jatisekhar Prabhu was the editor of Goudiya Magazine (Paramarthi) for 40 years. We request Goudiya Mission to keep these 3 close associates of Puri Goswami Thakur in all the Goudiya Maths across the world.

We see Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami Thakur's photo only in Cuttack Sachidananda Math. In Cuttack Math, Tirtha Goswami Thakur's photo is a part of the Goudiya Guru Parampara. Almost none of the other Goudiya Math's have kept Bhakti Pradip Tirtha Goswami Thakur's photo as part of Goudiya Guru Parampara.
Hence we request Goudiya Mission to keep Tirtha Goswami Thakur's photo in all the Goudiya Maths's as part of Guru Parampara. By doing this, the mission's pride will be kept.

I , Sri Raghavananda Roy ( Lecturer in Sanskrit) am a disciple of Bhakti Kebal Audlomi Maharaj, son of Jatisekhar Prabhu. I was ordered by Bhakti Bhushan Bharati Maharaj to write about Guru Parampara.

I met with Aditya Palit who is one of my intimate friends and with his guidance I started this content.
Today, February 17th 2013 ( Adaitya Prabhu’s prakat tithi as well as Jatisekhar Prabhu’s aprakat tithi). On this auspicious day, I publish this Guru Parampara Dhara to the world.
